I've got a UROP meeting on Wednesday, but my mom and grandma called my yesterday. One of my uncles is a professor/researcher at the U of Kentucky, but he'll be at Fudan University in Shanghai over the summer, and very likely would be able to train me and have me help with research. Since both my mom and grandma are very pro me improving my Chinese etc., they think this is a great opportunity. Frankly, I just kinda want to stay here for the summmer, UROP, and find all my friends from back home housing at EC and high-paying summer jobs. Ok, the last bit is a stretch...

In short, I've had no luck finding a job back in the bay area, and am having trouble now finding a UROP. If I can't find anything on either coast, I may be in Shanghai.
