I just got out of a great meeting run by "Rez Project" I missed my floor's meeting due to my Tuesday evening class but decided to go to third's tonight. It was put together by three different McGill groups(Queer McGill, the sexual assault support group, and the Trans-Alliance) and made for one cool info/discussion session. i think its good to stick to your convictions when you know enough to back them up, they are well thought out and researched (you've heard the other side and chosen urs), and they are truly what you believe. for all that to happen, though, you have to have lived in the grey area and accessed everything.

but its also important that people understand sticking blindly to convictions doesn't help, and neither does hypocracy. its fine to say 'i believe this but am open to suggestion' or 'i believe in this right now, but not this part of that argument'. the grey area sometimes gets too bad a rep.
