Oh, Ratchet was my runner-up. And I get you on the single highlight thing in relation to the 'Bots. I mean, for me, the 'Con pool to choose from was way bigger than the Autobot one, and yet picking my fave was ridiculously more easy. So yeah, I guess I just have stronger feelings for my bad guys.

Hah! Team Fortress for the win! xD

I actually stole this from you, so I saw you picked out Rattrap. Who is also amazing, might I add. He's way up there on my lists. But then again. Beast Wars had amazing characters.

The writing in TF tends to badly focus on one or two Autobots throughout the storyline. Bumblebee or Optimus Prime. Everyone else seems periphery and well.... kind of sentai. It's like this is Sailor Moon and only X,Y or Z can take care of business! Everyone else sits around getting their asses kicked.

Decepticons, meanwhile tend to get highlighted and used as Bad Guy of the Week, since it can't always be Megatron without making him into a joke. TF: Prime is a little better about that, but they've also kept a much smaller character pool, and they still focus on Arcee a buttload.

I don't play Team Fortress, cause my Xbox isn't online. But gawd. Those characters are amazing hilarious. Especially the Medic.

Beast Wars had amazing characters.

It really had. And to be honest, it's still taken me some time to get into it. Due to the less than fortunate CGI and to the unusual setting. But story- and character wise the show turned out to be, dare I say... superior to any other TF series I've ever seen. Although, I'm really digging Prime. Only if we could do away with those meddling kids...

...and they still focus on Arcee a buttload.

I'm just happy it's not Bee. But I could definitely live with some more Ratchet.

Mainframe always had great comedy and made sure to make really cooky characters that were fun to love. I'm really upset that they got bought out. The CGI is old and the setting is reeeally weird and all, but I agree with you. As far as characterization and story go, it was vastly superior to the majority of the franchise in my opinion ( ... )
