PROLOGUE:: ONE:: TWO:: THREE
It had been four days, and other than having spent their nights together on the couch watching TV or watching the three younger ones compete with each other over a course of seemingly never ending video games, absolutely nothing had gone on in the lives of the two star-crossed lovers that had found themselves within their abode.
So that night, when Music Fair had played a rerun of them the third time that day, Yunho turned to Jaejoong and tilted his head to the side in silent admiration.
“What?” Jaejoong looked him back with a look of awkward curiosity. The singer did have to admit that he wasn’t used to it just yet, having someone compliment his every motion, his every breath. He hadn’t gotten used to having someone admire him so openly, so freely.
Yunho shook his head and chuckled. Watching Jaejoong was like watching the sun set into the horizon; it was absolutely stunning, and no words could possibly describe its beauty. So instead, the young dancer took Jaejoong’s hand and tugged. “Let’s go out for dinner.”
And they did.
That night, as they tucked themselves away into the corner of a small ramen shop, Yunho reveled in Jaejoong’s stories, his laughter, and everything that he’d found in the singer that he never once knew existed so deep within him. Never had he seen bits of Jaejoong’s smile that made him shimmer, that made the young man before him shine brighter than any star in the heavens.
Yunho marveled at the trust he was given, the love, and the affection. He knew that opening up was never easy for their mercurial band mate, and the past four days surprised him. The change was drastic, almost unbelievable, but as it all slowly sank into Yunho’s heart, he slowly succumbed to the fact that he was no longer in Hero’s life as a colleague, a friend, or a brother. He was in Jaejoong’s life as someone who the artiste could take down his mask for, someone he entrusted his heart with.
And so that night, with Jaejoong wrapped around his arm, the couple walked into their shared bedroom, laughing and enjoying each other’s company like never before. The moment they parted for the few long minutes that Jaejoong needed to wash up before bed, Yunho got to work.
