It's off to Baltimore! In 4 weeks. Figured the big name might be better to work for in the long term. Might not even stay in design, so I'm not really bothered. A really cool firm in San Francisco wanted to interview me but they were waaay too late, bastards. Ah well. I'm not hip enough for a real design firm anyway ( Read more... )

awhile, turnstile

If you want someone to show you around the area when you get here drop me an email :) I grew up in Md, even if I've only recently come back ha ha ha. Do you know what part of Baltimore you'll be living in?

Thanks! I'll be working in the Inner Harbor area, not sure yet where I'll be living. Will probably have to craigslist it. Any places you recommend I check out/stay away from?

Inner Harbor is nice because it's the tourist area of Baltimore, but just like every other "safe" place in Balt. it's surrounded by ghetto on all sides. There is no "right" and "wrong" side of town just tiny nice spots in a sea of ghetto X_X
I wouldn't look inside the city for anything, as really it's a bad bad city. Outside of the city there are a lot of nice towns that most people commute to downtown from. I'd say look up Towson as it's a college town so there's a lot of cheap(er) housing there and you can hit Charles Street to get downtown from there instead of hopping on the highways and can bypass a lot of traffic.

I live in Baltimore County so I'm partial to it as it's the towns and suburbs that surround the city without actually being IN the city lol.

I LOVE THAT SONG FROM ADELE!!!!! But that's off tangent. First off, CONGRATS!!!! TBH I understand what you mean by working for a big name company. They will do wonders to your resume regardless of experience. BUT are you still gonna go to TCAF or no? Lemme know asap so I can sort out hotel etc.

But yeah girl, you should do EVERYTHINNNNNNNG :) don't limit yourself!

LOL THANK YOU MY DEAR :) thanks for being so supportive ♥ ILU BABE
HOWEVER the downside of going to Baltimore is the AIRFARE TO TORONTO aSLkdjf omg it is SO expensive, it's going to be at least $500+ just to fly there and back ;___; and it doesn't seem like it ever gets much lower than that...sob sob I don't know if I can swallow that expense for one weekend??!
But the airfare to New York is pretty cheap, so maybe I can visit you instead T3T argh I still want to go to Boston haha so many places so little money sigh

I'm excited for you! New place, new face, new experiences, yada yada !
