as much as i can hardly wait for the next installment of the soulmate series....family comes first, life gets in the way & everything else can wait. wish you all the luck with whatever is going on in your life right now & ignore the idiots who send you rude, stupid emails, they're not worth your time or irritation

On one hand, I do think that readers think they're being cute/funny/personable when they send emails demanding/cajoling/whatever to you prodding you about the next part in your series.

However...holy hell, when you're living through your "thing," whatever your "thing" is, it's understandable to want to scream. Loudly.

I've gotten a lot of "so where's PsyCop 6" lately. Enough so that I totally feel like a one-trick-pony, and maybe I am. Weirdly enough, a comment from my ex put it all into perspective for me. He said, "You should be happy people even want you to write more."

Wow. Can't win if you do, can't win if you don't.

While it's great that readers love your series so much, you have a life outside of writing and sometimes shitty things happen that completely derail the Muses. Family and life generally trumps everything else. If some people can't get that, then they're idiots and not worth a second of your time.
