So everything's friends-only now?? Cool. Or damn. Or...oh well I'm on the guest list. Did you like The Devil Wears Prada? I mean the movie, not the book. Well before the boyfriend starts getting lines.

Yes, I found an entry of mine on someones blog posted as their own...that creeped me out a little.

And I never wanted to be one of those people who went "friends-only" but perhaps it's better just for the things I write that are family related. I probably will go back to opening it up later but for now, it seems just right to do.

I have not seen that movie, did you like it? I rarely go to the cinema. I need to go more. I have not been in....I can't remember when.

no one could ever be jenifer. shame on them.

i saw the movie. i thought it was cute. but then again, i don't really live in that high fashion world, and you do, so maybe it wouldn't be as cute to you. i was like "omg zebra coat" and you'd probably be like "omg (insert designer name here) vintage trench". and it was sorta "oh i'd love to work for some high fashion magazine and look at beautiful people all day" and for you it would be like "i am a beautiful person." it's all about perspective. why am i still talking?

It was just creepy, like why would anyone want to take that entry?

I don't really live in a world like that either. I like certain things but I don't have a circle of friends who obsess about it because really, women who act like that bug me. I think these may be the same women who scream and jump when they see each other across a room?

Domino finds an outfit for like 10.00 and everyone asks her where she got it and she is all "some store in the mall." Her bosses buy her Vuitton and she returns it because she thinks it looks tacky. I don't like logo-y things. I am all about how things "feel"...I think I got that from my nutty grandmother. So while I do love fashion...there is a lot that passes me by trend wise because I am not a very trendy person.

I am not a beautiful person by a longshot. Maybe with the aid of a lot of plastic surgery though I could be passable.

I like your talking, please, I see pictures of people doing cartwheels in g-strings and say OMG MARY.

No one is going anywhere on my list. I hate those people who post "I am going friends only, post if you want to stay!" because they are people looking for drama who probably need a real life list of friends.

This was a move made because of what I replied to Tim above and it's probably wise now with having nieces and nephews who could find this, I don't want to offend them.

I owe you an email. I am sorry I have not replied yet. I was very awed by what you wrote. You are really a kind person Vince.

So true. SO true. And what's worse is when they go and forbid anyone from commenting whose not a friend. Geez, so I didn't hop up and respond to your "friends only alert" post and now you don't want to talk to me? Yippie for that.

Oh and I mentioned you in my last post. Sorry. I couldn't resist.

I know you don't need people to say this, but count me in anyway. LJ without Jenifer is akin to Popeye on a no-spinach diet....WHAT GOOD IS IT? :)

Noo I am not cutting people or not adding people, I am just locking the entries I had and I did not want to miss out on cool new people if they came across my LJ and had no way of leaving a comment :D

I just wanted an excuse to use the Popeye-spinach simile.

LOL! When I was a kid, popeye made spinach look so good that I bought a can of Popeye canned spinach and I wept with sadness at GREEN MUSH :(

I'd love to be added to your journal. I write a lot about our various pets. (We have four rescued cats and the two parrots -- a CAG and G2 Sophie.) I'd love to know someone else who has a G2 too!

It's always great to find someone else with parrots but especially a Goffin :D Sometimes I think we all need a support group, one who makes toys with infinite knots to keep them busy.

And most people on my list do not have parrots and think I am weird. What is it about parrots? People can own all sort of animals but have a few parrots and you get that *look* from people. I swear one day I am going to take a portrait in an evening gown holding all 4 of them.

Of course the Goffin will be pulling my hair and the Grey will steal my earrings and my Eclectus will be screaming at them for bugging me and the Amazon will be attacking me for touching his Grey girlfriend, so it's gonna be a pretty sad portrait.

LOL! Yeah, I think my "Friends" list friends think I'm insane. I'm constantly talking about the animals or posting cute pictures. :)

My husband recently got the CAG. He'd been wanting one for a long time and finally we found a really sweet baby. Before that he'd say, "Jen! It's just a bird! Stop spoiling her!" when I'd buy stuff for Sophie all the time.

Now he does the same with his Grey!

He said, "It's hard for non-parrot owners to understand just how much you can love these guys!"

:D

I had the "I wants" for a Grey too. They are amazing. She was my third parrot. Eclectus, Goffin, Grey, and Amazon. That's my limit. I no longer have the "I wants", these guys take enough time and I just enjoy all their different personalities. It really is hard for non-parrot owners to understand how much they become a part of your life. My Grey will be 3 in November and she is so smart. She amazes me with her intelligence. I kept wondering if or when she would talk and when she turned 1 year of age she started and never stopped. She knows which cat is which, which dog is which, the difference in people, she sees it all. She was 3 months when I got her and she reverted from weaning so I let her wean at her own pace and she took a daily feeding up until she was about 7 or 8 months. Just at night but I thought she would never give it up. My Amazon and her are carrying on some weird Romeo and Juliet love affair. :D
