So I'm in Australia. Leaving Sydney tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for Melbourne by train. I don't write so good, so there are some photos under the cuts! Click to enlarge.
View from the top.
Dad.
I haven't slept since I took this.
Cocaktoos just hanging out in Hyde Park (blocks from our hotel).
Hyde Park.
The Harbour Bridge.
Taken from the same location as previous, turned 90 degrees.
Big boat in the harbor.
Felt kinda creepy, but she ran in my shot.
From atop the southeast pylon of the Harbour Bridge.
Darling Harbour.
Sydney Aquarium.
The seal balanced a shell on his nose for me!
Sydney Tower.
We took the ferry out to Manly, about 30 minutes across the harbour.
Ferry back from Manly.
Saw some sleepy koalas at the zoo in Mosman.
Look close for the joey in her pouch!
Uh, Koopa Troopers anybody?
A Sydney street.
The Royal Botanical Gardens are a huge expanse of land on the harbour. I wandered for about two hours:
Mrs. Macquarie's Point--where she used to sit and watch the harbour.
Sydney Tower in the background.
Big spiders here.
Big cacti, too. This one was at least 3 metres tall.
...and big webs.
Today, we went on the Q25 hike of the Blue Mountains' Grand Canyon. At the base:
This pose should be on the dollar coin.
And from the top of the mountains:
The Three Sisters.
And from the bottom of the canyon in the rain forest:
Dad and Dennis, the tour guide. Two Tillys.
Now it's raining in Sydney. Good thing we leave tomorrow.
