I have nothing but good feelings about my new command in San Diego. The only problem is, as I've been saying to all my sailor buddies, "I sweat like a French whore doing a soccer team in a sauna out here".

It's 3:45 am right now. I was just relieved from my watch post. I have to wake up in an hour at 4:45 am to finish my duty and then I go straight to class for 6 hours. I'm just posting this to say THAT FREAKIN RULES! Hooyah!

I just got my orders yesterday. I will be flying to San Diego California on September 7th. All this studying and hard work has paid off because I'll be completing my class two weeks ahead of time and will be enjoying the wonderful beaches of southern California. I'm looking forward to making weekend excursions as well. ^_ ( Read more... )

I just found out today that as soon as I finish my classes here, I get sent out to San Diego. I could be in California as early as the first week in September if I pick up the pace and go to night study. ^_^

So on Thursday night, Gopal came into town and he and I decided to celebrate my 21st the way any real G's should. We bought a fifth of Vodka and a 6 pack of Stella Artois.
