Jim, this is really the sort of book you ought to be creating for yourself! Rather than try to decipher some difficult language from someone else's imagination - create your own, it will be a lot less expensive.

That said, I found some of the illustrations on this listing and I must say they're very interesting.

You're so right, I would LOVE to make a book like this. However, I am terrible at drawing/painting :(
I suppose if I found someone good at drawing who was willing to collaborate on it, that would be cool. I could do an Sunstone Codex or something! At least then I would finally put that creation to some use.

I have a guilty confession by the way. I downloaded a torrent version of the Codex Seraphinianus. Of course it's nowhere near as wonderful as having a physical copy of the book, but you know. MONEY. IT'S A GAS.
If they published new copies that weren't so expensive I would probably buy one.

Ah! :O You downloaded this?? Is it awesome?! I kind of want to, too. . . ! I'm intrigued, at least.

Your drawing style is unique and original and I think that's all you need. Good use of colors and/or interesting patterns and things no one's seen before will always find at least some kind of audience.

I would encourage you in making a Sunstone Codex! The challenge would be to not be too attached to the project to see it through to its completion. Hm!

you might need to download Simple Comic or some other software to view it properly. Google is your friend :)
