Ssoso Saturday I assisted my first wedding photographer at wood ranch country club. It was supposedly a "small" wedding that Cary Shapiro wanted me to get a gist of what its all about. Small being like 300 people. The photographer, John, I teamed up with had a wee bit more experience than I have, like 30 years of photography and 14,000 wedding jobs

My dad started doing weddings and worked for Cary Shaperio for about 5 years. Tell him you know Brian Enright's daughter. That's crazy. Congrats on the whole wedding thing too, I think they are fun to do. Were you just doing journalistic stuff or what?

Woah thats really cool, i'll be sure to bring it up. Yeah, he did most of the close up stuff and posing people and gave me a telephoto lens for the long stuff. ahaha and he told me he'd rather be taking pictures of naked women than wedding photography.

He's a little bit insane like that. He lost his wife, and a lot of bad stuff happened to him .. My dad quit because he became a little too intense. It's actually really sad. Anyway, don't let it freak you out, it's a good way to get started, and he pays well. I'm actually really happy for you.
