I've deliberately ignored LJ land for the most part until after the elections. I've just found it best to not to mix friends and politics, it brings out some of the worst in all of us and the irony is we all want the same thing. You're all awesome as can be but honestly I'd love nothing more than to snipe most of you from a helicopter in the cold

I couldn't have said it better.

It has been so stupid covering these debates EVERY time a new one airs and interviewing locals. You always get the -same- people giving the -same- answers. Nothing is ever going to get done or fixed. Everyone is too tied up with their own personal obscure views of America and how it should be. As far as the candidates... Pick your best liar out of the group basically.
