Began with Galileo Galilei.
In the traditional sense of the term, the scientific revolution "ended" with Isaac Newton. Which makes sense, because after him came a period of little or no advancement in the scientific world.
But you could argue that since science is an ever-developing phenomenon, the scientific revolution never actually ended, and has been continuously improved by people like Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Richard Dawkins, and Jared Diamond.

In all honesty, I don't know much about Copernicus. He developed some theory to do with the solar system, didn't he?
And I guess you could say it started with him. The beggining of the scientific revolution is just as debatable as the end.

Technically speaking, you could claim that is started with Archimedes in ancient greece.
Hey, maybe that's be a good idea for your paper.
The different people that are claimed to be responsible for the birth/end of the scientific revolution.

YES!! that is a wonderful topic idea, i think i'll do that.
copernicus was the first to say that the sun was the center of the solar system... "the copernicus system" was his theory i think. it had something to do with eight spheres and a motionless sun in the middle.

I would focus on a country that was big during the revolution, the Dutch were crazy inventive. Maybe the golden age of the Netherlands, that was particularly prosperous. Christiaan Huygens invented the pendulum clock and discovered the rings of saturn during that time. Cell Biology was also getting big around there. Goof luck.
