i think i want to do my research paper on the scientific revolution... but what about the scientific revolution?
what brought about the scientific revolution?
should i focus on one specific person?
i don't know.

In the traditional sense of the term, the scientific revolution "ended" with Isaac Newton. Which makes sense, because after him came a period of little or no advancement in the scientific world.
But you could argue that since science is an ever-developing phenomenon, the scientific revolution never actually ended, and has been continuously improved by people like Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Richard Dawkins, and Jared Diamond.

And I guess you could say it started with him. The beggining of the scientific revolution is just as debatable as the end.
Technically speaking, you could claim that is started with Archimedes in ancient greece.
Hey, maybe that's be a good idea for your paper.
The different people that are claimed to be responsible for the birth/end of the scientific revolution.

copernicus was the first to say that the sun was the center of the solar system... "the copernicus system" was his theory i think. it had something to do with eight spheres and a motionless sun in the middle.
