For once in my life, I am getting a certain amount of personal peace of mind from having absolutely no savings whatsoever. I'm sure this feeling will evaporate rather suddenly at the end of the semester (along with my income) :-)

I could never manage that. I wouldn't be able to think about anything else until I had at least an emergency fund tucked away somewhere.

Well, technically, I keep telling myself that I'm okay and could probably borrow a few thousand bucks from my Dad or something as a loan (with interest, mind you) if I need to get through a rough spot. I may test this theory starting in January.... we'll see if it works! (Otherwise, there's always the temp agency...)
