Ow. Hmph, I guess I'm in the right line of work - I could swear I've caught hiss in our soundtracks that's actually higher (and yes, some of my colleagues look at me incredulously).
Interestingly, this test is not guaranteed to work properly for casual users, depending on how they try to listen to it. It pretty much failed with my iPod headphones, which apparently just don't have a broad enough frequency response (I got lots of lower harmonics, but not really the tone itself). But with my built-in MacBook Pro speakers, it worked fine (Ow!). To test my ears individually, I plugged in my fancy pants Beyerdynamic studio headphones that I use for projects, and they worked fine too (Ow!!). Seems both my ears are still okay, thank goodness (somehow those years of piccolo didn't destroy them).

But yeah, overall I could hear it in both, which was good feeling, seeing as how I'm a few years away from 25. And my hearing is not my strong point.
