Oh man, are you having roommate issues too? This was the last official day for my worst-roommate-ever, in fact. We are officially on relatively cordial terms, meanwhile my seething anger roils continually under the surface. I haven't written about it, partly because she's the sister of a very good friend on my f-list. So, what was her end-of-lease stunt for you? For me, it was that she moved out 10 days ago, but made her room (which I am trying to move into before the next renter arrives to take mine) nearly off-limits until she was able to come back and collect the last 1% of her belongings, which she finally did at the last possible moment this evening. She was surprised that I would even consider asking her to get a move on before that (because she had paid through the end of the month, after all!). I have never encountered this logic before but whatever. Now my choice not to fight with her comes to bite me in the ass, as it turns out her boxspring (which she inexplicably never put on a frame) had staples and metal on the ( ... )

You deserve good roommates, because you yourself are a fairly awesome roommate. Definitely in my top 5. I do, of course, hold top spot for my betrothed, but I chose to live with him knowing what I was getting into.

He's a drunk and a reprobate. But he pays his rent on time and doesn't change public spaces around without asking. So he's already amazing, comparatively.

Oh my. One positive to following a crazy roommate: the standards are relatively low a the time of move-in.

I have issues with people that just rearrange public spaces on whim or without consideration to others.
