Iolaus had been deep in thought, his mug of ale untouched. For the past few weeks he'd started to get that itchy feeling . . . the kind of feeling that said he should be doing something. Going somewhere. He'd been trying to figure out where that somewhere was and then suddenly the answer was presented to him -- by Joxer.

"You feel it too, then?" he replied somberly. "That we've been away too long."

"Way too long... something doesn't... feel right." Slumping into a chair next to Iolaus, but shaking his head as the barmaid brought over a beer, he wasn't in the mood for one right now. "We've been going around in circles with nothing settled and they're always one step ahead."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Who ever it -- or they -- are . . . they've been toying with us. The question is, why? Unless it's what they meant to do all along."

"That's what I've been thinking. You know both the Ladies are going to be having the babies soon. And the Goddess Aille, she can't really fight, and Bliss doens't know how..."
