CURRENT PARTY
UPDATED 06/19.2011
Panzer stats
moveset^
type: ground/rock
ability: rock head
level: 60
nature: adamant;
good endurance
holding: protector
• horn attack [NRM]
• tail whip [NRM]
• stomp [NRM]
• fury attack [NRM]
• scary face [NRM]
• rock blast [RCK]
• take down [NRM]
• horn drill [NRM]
• hammer arm [FGT]
• stone edge [RCK]
• focus blastTM [FGT]
• earthquake [GRD]
• megahorn [BUG]
→ Panzer is, to sum it up, a derp. He's not all that smart, but once he learns a trick, he learns it for good, and he'll do it every time. Similarly, once he charges, he doesn't stop running until something (very forcefully) makes him. This rule of thumb applies to battling Pokémon, too; he has to be recalled before he'll stop stomping an unconscious foe.
He's also very friendly, which makes him the best big bro to every Pokémon on Marco's team. He doesn't take no for an answer, especially when it comes to friends or food. Sometimes he gets a little too eager to make friends, and has a habit of accidentally injuring smaller Pokémon, but he's always super sorry. :c
Barney stats
moveset
type: rock/ground
ability: sturdy
level: 47
nature: relaxed;
somewhat of a clown
holding: metal coat
• mud sport [GRD]
• tackle [NRM]
• harden [NRM]
• bind [NRM]
• screech [NRM]
• rock throw [RCK]
• rage [NRM]
• rock tomb [RCK]
• sandstorm [RCK]
• slam [NRM]
• rock polish [RCK]
• dragonbreath [DRG]
• curse [???]
• iron tail [STL]
• sand tomb [GRD]
→ Barney's an easygoing sort of guy who's just a little bit goofy. He doesn't like things to be too serious, so he even tries to make his battles funny, which... usually results in him losing. Good thing Marco mostly keeps him around for transportation.
It is Marco's opinion that Barney is basically him in Pokémon form, and that Fred, the Onix he caught along with Barney, is Rachel in Pokémon form. (Spoiler: he's right.)
Pamela stats
moveset*
type: grass/poison
ability: overgrow
level: 56
nature: jolly;
hates to lose
holding: nothing
• tackle [NRM]
• growl [NRM]
• leech seed [GRS]
• vine whip [GRS]
• poison powder [PSN]
• sleep powder [GRS]
• take down [NRM]
• razor leaf [GRS]
• sweet scent [NRM]
• growth [NRM]
• double-edge [NRM]
• petal dance [GRS]
• worry seed [GRS]
• synthesis [GRS]
• solarbeam [GRS]
→ Marco spent two days searching the Ilex Forest for Bulbasaur and struggling to capture one. Finally, Pam came along. She's a good-natured gal with a competitive streak a mile wide. She likes to lash herself to Panzer with her vines and aggravate him until he tries to throw her off. Since their evolutions (and given their sizes), it's much more like wrestling than bullriding.
She's become the big sister of the team, even tending to mother Panzer, who's both older and stronger than she is. Whenever Panzer accidentally tramples someone, she's there to pick them up - whatever their size - and keep them out of harm's way.
Copperfield stats
moveset*
type: psychic
ability: synchronize
level: 50
nature: bold;
proud of its power
holding: nothing
• teleport [PSY]
• confusion [PSY]
• dream eaterTM [PSY]
• disable [NRM]
• miracle eye [PSY]
• psybeam [PSY]
• reflect [PSY]
• recover [NRM]
• psycho cut [PSY]
• role play [PSY]
• psychic [PSY]
• future sight [PSY]
• trick [PSY]
→ Capturing an Abra was a feat. Marco spent over a week scouring Route 34 and watching countless Abras escape. He also captured four that he released before he found one with Synchronize. Copperfield is a gentleman, and a dapper one, at that. He has made various (failed) attempts to court Rachel, which Marco finds hysterical.
Big Jim stats
moveset
type: normal
ability: truant
level: 40
nature: gentle;
highly curious
holding: nothing
• sleep talk [NRM]
• scratch [NRM]
• yawn [NRM]
• encore [NRM]
• slack off [NRM]
• faint attack [DRK]
• amnesia [PSY]
• covet [NRM]
• swagger [NRM]
• counter [FGT]
→ Big Jim is the chillest dude. It is him. Typical to his species, he loves to sleep, and he spends most of his time doing so. However, when he's awake, he likes to explore. It's... a very slow process.
He should have evolved into Vigoroth at level 18, but he never did! He was a Slakoth right up until level 36, when he evolved into a Slaking.
Hyperbole stats
moveset*
type: psychic
ability: inner focus
level: 50
nature: impish;
somewhat of a clown
holding: nothing
• teleport [PSY]
• confusion [PSY]
• dream eaterTM [PSY]
• disable [NRM]
• miracle eye [PSY]
• psybeam [PSY]
• reflect [PSY]
• recover [NRM]
• psycho cut [PSY]
• role play [PSY]
• psychic [PSY]
• future sight [PSY]
• trick [PSY]
→ Hyperbole belonged to Ax, who went home. Marco and Ax swapped Hyperbole and Copperfield to evolve them back in Violet, so technically, Marco was Hyperbole's trainer very briefly before. Despite already having an Alakazam, Marco took Hyperbole in after Ax disappeared.
FORMER POKÉMON
Fred stats
moveset
type: rock/ground
ability: sturdy
level: 6
nature: bold;
likes to fight
holding: nothing
• mud sport [GRD]
• tackle [NRM]
• harden [NRM]
• bind [NRM]
• screech [NRM]
→ Fred was captured at the same time as Barney, and given as a gift to Rachel when Marco arrived in Goldenrod.
