I agree...these kids are growing up too fast. I mean, at 24, I hardly think of myself as an old foggie...but I'm shocked by what high schoolers are like nowadays.
I'm a big believer that if you can't pay for designer items yourself, you shouldn't own them. It's not to say that the occasional gift isn't warranted (or appreciated), but unless you're responsible enough to either (a) get a part-time job, save up, and pay for your LV yourself after saving your Mcdonald's salary for the entire summer or (b) pay your own bills (rent, insurance, car, etc) and receive one as a gift....you shouldn't be parading about in them.
Especially high schoolers. They think that they're ENTITLED to designer goods....
*shakes head* This is part of why I refuse to have kids.
totally agree with you about having designer items only if you can afford it with your hard earned money! being that they're still in high school, how the hell can they afford purses that cost upward of $1k+?!?
i hope they're in for a hard shock of real life soon...hehehe, it's mean but i think that's the only way they'll learn, right?
