Aug 25, 2009 19:58

Victoria's Secret has sponsored Livejournal's "writer's block" challenge of the day. While I came to LJ to post something fun about my old grad school advisor coming to visit me this evening, I'm saving that insightful entry for later... Heh.

You know, people with enormous breasts can't buy stuff at VS either.

It's amazing that VS marketing promotes gianormous breast-to-torso ratios but doesn't carry large sizes in the store. I've never bothered to check their website because of their labor practices so I can't speak to that... and I'm also too lazy to check right now. It's the little ironies like that which lead me to associate VS and the like with our sexually schizophrenic culture.

I didn't know anything about their labor practices, but I haven't been in one for myself since my senior year of high school when they actually looked like this:

o.O

at my then 38-26-36 self and told me they had nothing to fit me. All the underpants and bras were too small. wtf, gang, way to live up to your rep.

They suggested I go to Fredericks of Hollywood but my mom put her foot down. heh.

I know what you mean, girlfriend!

I like how I can balance a roll of quarters off the dimples of my ass!

Yah, fuck VS shit. I've seen hotter at Target.

You know, in light of your Jenna Jameson post (relating to the intro, anyway) I feel bad for hetero boys raised in a world where crazy, shiny, Photoshopped meat-posing-as-lingerie permeates the landscape... it's gotta make entering into meaningful relationships with women (at whatever various capacities) difficult.

And I'll agree with the Target comment; I'll also add that cotton underwear that doesn't hoist the ladies up to my neck or situation itself in my butt crack is pretty hot.

nah, i'm sure it's just as difficult as trying to enter into any meaningful relationship. no real point of comparison?

You feminists sure hate sex appeal. What did hot chicks and slave labor ever do to you???

The same thing that body hair, stretch marks, and cellulite supposedly does to hetero boys, haha.
