I woke up late this morning. The day progressed from coffee, to tea and now duty free gin. It is a public holiday today. I am not sure for. Perhaps Labor day. Or the Queen's birthday. Actually, Work Choices abolished Labor day, so I'm not sure. I am grateful for it just the same ( Read more... )

The one time I was in France, in Paris for just a day and two nights, I sat on the edge of the Seine in a place that looks like the place where your orange peels and knife are resting.

It sounds like a lovely time--you don't need quiet introspection during those times; you can have it afterward, reflecting back on events. It's great that you were so in the now, so busy experiencing Europe, while you were there.

OMG, you lived every English major's dream! I'm studying the Romantics and I wish I could read Tintern Abbey, at, welp, Tintern Abbey.

Sounds like it was loads of fun!
