Hmmm...our mall always has a Fat Santa...who wears plaid. Not that there's anything wrong with plaid.

Taylor didn't even make it to the guy's lap the past 3 years, so I don't even have pics. She's always so excited to see Santa, but when it's her turn to sit in his lap, she wants nothing to do with him. Even last year, when I took Thomas, she wanted nothing to do with him. She actually ran off while the Santa was holding the baby...luckily, it was at her school, and not some huge mall...but I think I might just avoid the whole Santa fiasco this year...maybe just take Thomas.

Thing is, she's a bright girl...I don't think she's afraid of a fat man wearing a red suit...I think that she might just have some sort of stranger anxiety or something...who knows?

I need to make a new Christmas icon.

Even though it was a very short line, I counted 3 other crying kids---one in particular was crying way before it was her turn. Of course, her parents still forced her to sit on Santa's lap, which I just thought was cruel. I don't know if I'll take Elizabeth again next year, maybe just wait til she shows an interest. Though she was smiling and waving at him right up until I handed her over (and started right back up after I picked her up)...

heh...Taylor's like that...she likes him from a distance. The only pic I have of her with Santa is when she was 8 mos old...and she was smiling...I don't know what happened...lol. I really don't think we'll go this year, either.

My mom was one of those mothers that forced us to sit on Santa and the Easter bunny...it was traumatic...then again, my reason was I didn't want to be photographed in the hideous outfits my mother put me in...and I didn't want to sit WITH my brother...because she was too cheap to get us photographed separately. I'm thinking now that those were pretty petty issues to get worked up over...as a 6 year old...lol.
