i always like fiona apple's lyrics..but for some reason i could never really get into her music.

i love fiona! her music doesn't follow the same typical musical structure i think most ppl are used to. also, i think knowing her history helps make the songs make more sense. at least that made me appreciate her songs more. like the album "tidal" has a song that symbolically reflects on the effects of her being raped when she was like 11 or 12 by her neighbor. the song isnt graphic, but after knowing about the tragic indicident, the song makes more sense.

i love her newest album 'extraordinary machine'. the music is more orchestral and really pretty.

i have imogen's cd too, and i like it. i dont listen to it as much as fiona tho.
