why is it that whenever i overhear a telephone conversation in which one person is trying to give another person their e-mail address, the conversation immediately begins to sound like what would take place between two 90 year olds with hearing aids, trying to convey information to each other with phones that have terrible reception, in the middle

maybe for the same reason that whenever i go to rubio's, i suddenly develop a speech impediment which makes it absolutely impossible for them to understand the letters "J-E-Z."
