first sweater, ever!

i bought yarn and started my first sweater project today! so far i have a whopping two rows of the front done. i'm using debbie bliss baby cashmerino and a pattern from "vintage knits" by sarah dallas. i'll try to update on the status as i go along. this will take me a long time - the ribbing is knitted with 2s, and the rest of it with threes! it'

that sweater is so cute! it looks too short for me though, cropped tops look so bad on me (i think i have a short torso?). i have no idea how to lengthen a sweater either, i've never made one. hopefully this will change soon.

also i just spent like 2 hours looking up yarns to buy on the internet, so it's funny that you post this!

i'm going to lengthen it a bit too. cropped sweaters make my torso look extra-thick - i don't have much of a waist indentation as it is! i think i can just add a few extra rows in there, but i'll look it up before i get there.
