I suspect uniqueness simply because 2 and 3 sound like activities with low survival rates.

I suspect uniqueness on number 2 only because of the shortness of NH's coastline. Really hardcore people would do it in Maine. ;)

I mean, I'm willing to consider it a match if you've gone wading in the ocean anywhere north of Mason-Dixon between say December and March. Trump would indeed be Maine.

I'm afraid I can't actually match that... While I've never been swimming in the US south of the Mason-Dixon line except, I suppose, in California, I also get cold easily, so I do not appreciate going swimming in non-summer weather. (... and, believe it or not, southern California has colder water than Long Island. Blame the warm-water current on the east coast and the cold-water current on the west coast.)

I may have done 2 in my youth, we used to go frequently go somewhere in New Hampshire where there was water, but now that I think about it, I think that was lake water.

I've been swimming in stream water (spring fed) in March in Upstate New York. Again, not the ocean though.

Oh, and wadding in a marsh on January 1st one year, also in New York. That one was unintentional.
