Visit to Sacramento Sites Seen on The Mentalist
Mom (my Mentalist buddy) and I volunteered to drop Dad off at Sacramento International Airport for a business trip yesterday. Since that put us in the downtown Sac area...I brought my camera and we took pictures of locations we recalled seeing in some episodes. (They're all of me because Mom hates having her picture taken, lol.)
The State Capitol:

Sadly, the security guard at the Ziggurat Building refused us entrance. Apparently, you have to make official requests to various official-type people in advance to be granted permission to walk through an office to get to the balcony. And I'm betting "because I'm a nutty Mentalist fanatic and I need a picture of me drinking coffee where Lisbon sat with Tower Bridge in the background!!!!!!" would not be a qualifying reason.

On the way home, we stopped for strawberries from a roadside stand. "Mmmm, good."
