I recently moved to New York City to see what life here had to offer. So far it's been a great, positive experience and I'm looking forward to where things go from here. I'm in a relationship with a handsome, hilarious man who rocks my world. I'm researching graduate school for a hopeful return to school in Fall '10.
In Love. Excited. Happy. Curious. Slowly figuring things out.
I'm the kind of person who can be happy and feel comfortable in just about any situation. All I really want to do with my life is leave the world a little better than I found it. I try to live by this each day.
I enjoy girly, silly movies, pampering myself with pedicures, complete silliness and ruckus, biking, walking with my dog, random celebrity trash gossip on occasion, fine food & beer, roadtrips, long conversations, and laughing at life.

lj is a great place to make new friends. i have been a part of lj since around 2001 and have, indeed, fostered some great friendships. i'll add just about anyone...often it has nothing to do with commonalities, but more about if i sense a good vibe. however, i consider my lj a very private piece of my life (even if i do write about seemingly dull day-to-day activites sometimes) and because of this, i'm fairly selective. i remove friends if i find that, after a while, there's no connection or we truly have nothing in common. it happens. don't be upset!
people i like to surround myself with:
people who have something to say, not just talk about. people with open minds that are willing to teach me and learn at the same time. people who embrace the fact that differences should be celebrated. considerate people. people who are working to make the world a better place. people that can make me laugh and try not to take life too seriously. people who dream big and want more. so if you're one of these people, i want to meet you. so add me.
