Plusses and Minuses
I now present to you the recent events of my life as a series of scores, and will tally them at the end.
+1 I didn't bork my GPA too badly! I just got the grades for the two classes I was most worried about (failed test in one and missing paper in the other) and they're both B's! That means I should have an all A/B semester! W00t!
+1 School is over for the semester!!
-1 Had to put a new alternator in the Corsica, so there goes our Christmas money.
-1 Won't be able to go to Tidus21's wedding because of the unforseen expenditure above. Boo.
+1 Yay for insurance! I was able to get an eye exam and a new box of contacts (which just came in, I just got the phone call) for $25!
-1 Overload of cats. We have nine of 'em. Yup, nine.
+1 Two weeks off of work for Christmas!
-1 Two weeks off of work for Christmas. We could use the income.
+1 Will got contacts, too. It's very amusing watching him try to put them in and take them out. See the grown man cry!! (I'm evil, I know.)
+1 My sister will soon be much closer. Not that I can afford to go see her right now, but whatever. Closer is closer, darn it! Maybe I can foist--err, give a kitten to her. =D
+1 Next semester should be better, as I'm only taking 12 hours instead of 15, and they're all night or afternoon classes, with work in the mornings. I'm scared to death at the thought of Business Law though. Ew.
-1 My bank totally sucks. They have horrible customer service, and they recently moved into a new building, and had no signs or anything saying they'd left the old one already (or anything at the new one saying they were NOW OPEN). Plus, the new one is surrounded by one way streets, and I circled the block about 4 times trying to find a way to park or get into the drive-thru during very busy traffic, to no avail. Took most of my lunch hour and left me very irritated. I drove across town to another branch. Stupid bank.
+1 For some reason, I'm in a music mood. I've been "playing piano" on my desk all afternoon, and I have Ideas(tm) running through my head! Could this be the return of my creativity? Since I have yet to actually touch the piano, who knows!
OK, this is getting too long, so time to tally...+3!
Summary: Poor, but life is good. Other than number 4 above, sorry Tidus21.
