Let me see if I get this straight: Matilda made a concotion to forget. You drink it and when you go to sleep you have dreams about the last person you were with and forget the first you see once you wake up...
I love Marian's and Guy's dreams. I feel he could have been that way if she had met Marian before Vaisey and, of course, if she had paid him the right attention. I was not a fan of Tuck throughout the series but I like this Tuck and I certainly love the bit between G/M about the longing.
Oh, please!!! Do not let Arrow Boy spoil my particular party. I soooo want them to be together.
This is a great story (I think I said that before, LOL!)
The potion - if it's allowed to work properly - makes one forget the person one sees before falling asleep, and everything the two have done together.
Marian had planned to use the potion to forget Guy, and for Guy to forget her. So she could love Robin with her whole heart, and so Guy would be the good man she knows he is - deep down there, somewhere.
As the potion began to work, Guy and Marian were walloped by the visions of their life together - which was supposed to happen - if only one choice had been made differently a few years ago.
I hope that helps explain this part better. Let me know if not, and I'll keep trying.
