Well, That Was Random... aka "Look Ma, I'm On TV!"

So how did the concert go you ask? Or didn't ask. Whichever, I'll tell you anyway.

And oh yeah, it ended up on national tv.

I have had the worst luck trying to see In-Flight Safety because they always have their concerts right before a big test so I was NOT GOING TO MISS THIS SHOW. And then even people who said they were coming had to bail out at ( Read more... )

Sorry, I don't have anyone in particular I go to in the city the only hairdresser I've ever faithfully gone back to is in Greenwood - Rachelle's salon across from the Greenwood Mall. There's a girl there, whose name escapes me, who does a good job every time, even if I do only see her when I'm home visiting family.

where did you go to get your haircut? I used to have a girl who knew exactly how to do my hair, but then we moved.. I haven't really found a good hairdresser in the city... (I've had some okay cuts, but nothing really phenomenal)

I haven't had bangs in a long time.. I used to have them as a kid, but I grew them out when I was 10 or so.. then I got a really short haircut when I was 19, and had bangs with it, but I found short hair to require so much more maintenance than long hair (oddly enough) so I grew my hair out again...

Yeah, I have the same problem... both with hairdressers and short hair. The good ones always move away on me, and long hair is sooo much easier to take care of... no complicated styling.

The bangs aren't so bad though... they're different from little kid bangs, they're not so bad now that I've figured out how to make them go the way I want to, and I think they'll look really nice the way they are when they've grown out.

yeah I had a good hairdresser at Golden Clipper in Scotia Square, but then she moved out and started her own salon, I think... since then I've never had the same one twice (none of them have been especially noteworthy)

I'm glad you're getting used to the bangs. It sucks to feel like you look stupid/weird/whatever because something went wrong with a haircut.

You blew your 15 seconds of Fame on "back of my head" shots? Oh my.

as for the hairdresser. Incompetence in a stylist should not be tolerated, period. I say go get a cigar chopper[it cuts the end of cigars off] and pretend like you're in the first Darkman ;-)

The really crazy part of it was that after me and Graham blew it on back of the head shots, Angela blew hers on a completly unrelated back of the head shot when a tv crew came to her school later that week to do a story.

can you show the pics of the hair you wanted and what you got?? And where did you go to get it cut?

I'm sorry, have we met before? Anyway, welcome to my journal.

I got it cut at a place in Bayers Lake that I'd been to before and gotten a decent but not very complicated cut so I went back. Can't remember the name, though. It's next to that buffet.

I'm not in the habit of posting any pictures of myself online- I tend to be a bit paranoid about those sorts of things. *shrug*
