After Some Thought...

I have come to the conclusion that there are far too few genuine romantics left in the world these days.

After some snow-induced frustration at the world, I was introduced to one, and all of a sudden everything seems beautiful. ^.^

Good grief, is the romantic movement that far forgotten? No. No boy. Just an amazing singer who writes a very good blog in a romantic (see 1800s literature) style, using cute phrases like "attack of the quiets".

I was feeling very cynical, and she's very not cynical, and it shocked me out of my shell for a couple of hours before returning to my usual cynicism. Enough to write something. It's good to be forced to re-examine one's surroundings from time to time.

Oi. Just listen for yourselves. http://www.myspace.com/afinefrenzy And maybe you should listen to "Heavyweight Champion" first here to get an idea of where my head was at the time of listening: http://www.myspace.com/reverendmusic

And should it ever be a guy, you certainly won't hear about it like this. I don't do THAT kind of romantic. XP

Wow, Mo. Those are really great. :) Thanks for sharing.

Are you going to be around for New Years? I don't know what my plans are officially yet, but I'll be in Halifax for about a week around then.

...would you be interested in seeing a charity performance of Handel's Messaiah, practiced and performed in one day by random community members?

Yeah, I'm not going anywhere, so free whenever, though completely broke. :(

Don't know about Messiah... maybe.

you like them? was my suggestion the first you'd heard of her?
it makes closing at work more tollerable when i can blast "come on come out" through the cafe :) :) :)

Yes, that was the first I've heard of her, and even then I couldn't remember until you wrote it down. (Thanks for that, by the way).

And yeah, I love her- at least what's on the myspace. Gorgeous stuff. And that's saying something, because I don't usually like many female singers for some reason...
