Joy is with God now. She passed away at about 6:15 this morning. She died very peacefully with the knowledge that there are dozens of people who love her. I will let you know about the funeral arrangements when I find out from her grandparents. She's breathing freely now, so we should all be happy for her.

I met joy in high school, probably in spanish class. I remember the 4 of us had our own little section in class, and spent more time talking then working :). I got to know her and what a sweet, wonderful, courageous person she was. Everyday she couldn't come to school because she was sick she was greatly missed. I'm so glad it was peaceful, after all that she went through. I will miss her much!

Joy was in my Speech class senior year, and in my AP english. she was such a wonderful person, a face I never forgot. I will miss her.
