Civilian casualties are going to happen, whether you want it to or not. The rules of engagement are very specific about when it comes to engaging with civilians. You are not allowed to do it whatsoever. Sadly, innocent people are going to die. In my opinion, I think that the military is way too careful about what they do and worry too much about taking civilian lives. We don't get the same courtesy, so neither should they. In the long run, having a large amount of civilians dying at one time makes us feel bad, but it's also more efficient, for lack of a better word. So much of what we do depends on whether or not civilians are going to die. I think that we should try to avoid innocent deaths, but worry even moreso about the mission at hand, and if that means shedding a little extra blood for the greater good, then so be it.
