Tomorrow I head to NCECA. Leave in the morning, drive eight hours. I come back on Saturday night.
It's in Philadelphia. Going to have to go to a lot of demos and exhibitions, and if it works out I'll have another credit hour.
I'm feeling spectacularly unwordy right now. But "Soon I Will Be Invincible" is awesome. -

Rereading "Wraith Squadron" for the umpteenth time. It's awesome.
Seriously, even though I don't have much dislike for Stackpole, Allston is just a vastly better writer. The pace seems faster, more things are shown rather than told, there are no damn redshirts, and everyone is interesting!

I tried to install AIM last night.
That was a bad idea.
Back before my hard drive committed suicide, I had iTunes on this laptop, which is a used model from 2004/ish. It had problems. It would freeze randomly with a "boop!" sound while I was moving the mouse/typing, and then the screen would freeze and I'd have to wait it out or reset. This ( Read more... ) -

I've been contemplating my Thoughts On Michael Stackpole for a while, so I figured I'd collect them. He is, of course, the writer of five books in the X-Wing Series, I, Jedi, two books in the NJO, some short stories, and various novels that aren't part of the Star Wars EU. I've read all of his SWEU work and some of his originals.

My new class schedule's crowded. I just dropped Astronomy.
