So the last I read, the ozone hole has started to show signs that it is shrinking. It's actually a good example of what can happen when people and governments actually acknowledge that we have a serious environmental problem and then act on it (by banning CFC's). The issue is that taking the steps to stop the destruction of the ozone is small potatoes compared to what it's going to take to halt runaway global warming.
In regards to the animal thing, I can vouch for the fact that cattle act goofy before the weather changes. Believe it or not, our parakeet went bananas before we had that small earthquake last year. The dog slept right through it. And more random knowledge for you...I read just a few days ago that scientists are now speculating that the New Madrid fault may be going permanently dormant. At least there's one less thing to worry about.
