I wanted to give "Heroes" a chance, but it lost me about halfway through season 1. It felt like they were working way too hard to make it quirky and complex, and instead it just came across as amateur.

I have three weeks back sitting on the DVR, and I just can't bring myself to watch them. Even though I know Bryan "Pushing Daisies" Fuller is coming back to the show now, it's kind of like that comic book that you keep reading because you remember the "good 'ol days" of when it was good. In this case, that would be most of Season One (coincidentally, when Fuller was on the show originally), but even the end of that season suuuuuucked. I keep flip flopping because I've so wanted a television show about super powered folks to be good, and cool, because I am a comic-book geek like that. But I think it's too little, too late for me too. I can't bring myself to get over the multiple mistakes they've made with that show.

I stopped watching very early this season. The narrative got boring and felt like more of a chore than a pleasure to keep up with.

I should say that last season bugged me too, but it was short so I did manage to stay with it that whole time.
