Every time you read a book by SMeyer, an intelligent friend dies a little on the inside.

Please.

Think of your friends.

If you never read Twilight, it would have been a good book.

Except for the ending.

Why did you even go there? I managed to make through the first four books ("It has to get better...."), but was unwilling to subject myself to The Host. Actually, we're ranting about Twilight on one of my LJ entries atm, too, if you want to join in. ^.~ (http://baine.livejournal.com/223733.html)

OH GOD AND THE ENDING!!!! Even though I haven't read Breaking Dawn yet, I'm pretty sure she did the same thing with both endings: completely ruin the beliefs and character of the characters to make a happy ending that really just made ME not happy reading it.

This is absolutely....TRUE! Because, duh, Perfect Bella has to have her perfect happily ever after, remember? On my LJ, conniferous called her "the ultimate wish fulfillment character," and it's so true!! Nice to see she's keeping up the trend with The Host... >.<

I've heard good things about The Book Thief. Tell me what you think of it after you've read it!

I thought it would be DIFFERENT from Twilight at least. No one told me about these things. And I think because I haven't read Breaking Dawn I was not totally dead inside yet. lol The more you know.

Or, wait, was that a slogan for NBC or CBS or something that aired during Saved by the Bell on Saturdays and not Reading Rainbow? *thinks*

I just remember the ding and the singsong, "The more you KNOW~!"

Do you know what I'm talking about?

LOL! I don't know how you got through it, I kept skipping pages. I just thought it was so anticlimactic. Nothing really happens except for the love story. SM is just too in love with her characters.

lol, yeah I started skipping paragraphs and just read the dialogue at few places, especially towards the end. That's where the real action usually happens.
