Yesterday we went to Chuck E. Cheese after school for a fundraiser. (15% of everything we spent there went back to Jarrison's school.) It was beautiful on the way there... and then when we were headed back home, two and a half hours later, we could see some really creepy clouds off to our west ( Read more... )

Tornadoes are so weird. We had a huge all-night thunderstorm a couple of years ago...I'm not sure the sirens even went off...but a couple of minutes away from us houses and trees were downed. We were so unaffected a rake was still standing up on our patio aftewards. I'll always remember that.

In any case, I'm glad y'all are okay.

My NBC station kept doing the same thing! They would let all the commercials show and then juuuuust before The Office would come back on, the weather team would show up and talk about nothing for 5 minutes. They weren't saying anything useful and nothing that couldn't have just been put across a ticker. Yarg. Useless station. And you're right- it was all talk and phones, but no pictures really. What the heck.

Ahaha, a highway stop it? RIGHT.
