Thanks for posting this. I've been of the opinion that in the long run, it's better to take the (as pointed out here) unlikely risk of autism over the very really risk of deadly diseases.

I think vaccines are a good thing....but regarding the practical experience of it: it hurts for a lot of parents too. I can see how it would be tempting to avoid the experience if you didn't *truly* appreciate the cost-benefit at stake and perhaps hated needles yourself. I just hated the times when SP had to get several in one visit (as many as four). Those needles are *huge* and they go deep past even the most luxurious baby leg chub ( ... )

I can understand how that would be tough. If people need needle support for their kids, I imagine I'd be pretty good at it. ..Assuming there was at least initial trust.
