The ultrasound shows he's a healthy 13-ounce boy.

I'm on some weird medication that increases the risk of skeletal problems in babies I conceive. Also, my dad was heavily exposed to cadmium, which is highly likely to have changed his genes (which may be why all the kids conceived after his exposure have chronic diseases). Finding out the little bell pepper is healthy to the best of our knowledge is a huge relief.

If you need any hand me down clothes, let me know. Or Hot Wheels. Or Thomas the Tank Engine Trains.

Any idea what name you're going to go with. Two suggestions: Edison or Liberty.

Or Tesla.

I would be cool with Tesla as a middle name, but my Love isn't going to have any of that. When we started talking about names, she said something like "I'm sure you're thinking of some great mathematicians or something..." with a tone of exasperation. She was right, I was, but I inferred from her statement that I should change gears quickly.

Thanks! Hand-me-downs could be really useful.

Regarding names, Edison was kind of a jerk, so we can't go with that. The guy electrocuted an elephant! Not Cool.

We are currently considering "Owen" or "Isaac", but we'd like more candidates to choose among for when the baby arrives. For middle names, we'd like to choose a name that honors someone that we both especially admire. We both like Mr. Rogers and Jimmy Carter. It would be a little presumptuous to go for the Gandhi or Martin Luther King, Jr.
