Passover and Postmodern Discourse

Had fun at my family's house this evening.  Ended up having a solid discussion about postmodernism with an english major from McGill.  Interesting the different way our faculties tackle postmodernism.

very very interesting thought.. haha i jumped over from Jess' livejournal, sometimes I do crazy things when i'm procrastinating (read: i have an essay due tomorrow and i am putting it off as late as possible!).

Marx would have a fit with your way of thought, but I like how you said the new thought will deconstruct post-modernism. In stuff that I'm doing, there are already tonnes of theorists doing that (Habermas actually re-constructs deconstructionism?) I already believe that post-modernism is passe.. hehe. It's simply a critique of modernism, but it's not a sound theory in itself. Something else will arise I think, something very social and liberal (a la Richard Rorty perhaps).
