14th of February, Valentine’s Day, a day for couples, a day that is full of love. Every corner you will take, you will see some couples smooching around. But unfortunately, someone is spending this day alone with his books. And this someone is a guy named Arioka Daiki.
Daiki is a 19-year old guy. Well, due to his features, he is often mistaken as a woman. He is every guy’s dream. Wanna know why? Having a girlish face, chubby yet rosy cheeks, pale complexion, and sexy kissable lips is too hard to resist. Not to mention his silky, brown hair and sparkling brown orbs. But God gave him something that he loathes so much. And that is his height. He is like a living doll in other people’s eyes.
He has the brains too. He is the Student Council’s Representative and the top of his class. Everyone respects him; even the teachers.
In his 19 years of existence, he had never experienced having a mate. He is friendly, yes. But he had never become too much attached to some persons. He is a loner; totally opposite of his childhood best friend. A guy named Takaki Yuya.
Takaki Yuya is the total opposite of Daiki. If Daiki is every guy’s dream, Takaki is every woman’s dream. He is hotter than any model existed in the earth. He is tall, tan and handsome. With his sharp eyes, pointy nose, sexy and kissable lips and well-toned six pack abs(A/N: lol wahahaha joke), no woman in the whole Japan can resist him. With just one killer smile and wink, all of his commands will be attended immediately.
Daiki is a matured type while Takaki is the childish type. Daiki is industrious, Takaki is a lazy bone. Daiki is dependable, Takaki is unreliable. Daiki is a shy type, Takaki is the happy-go-lucky guy. Daiki is small, Takaki is tall. Daiki has 1 friend, Takaki has a gazillion one.
They are a total opposite.
But that makes their bond stronger.
And that what makes Daiki’s heart to beat fast whenever he is around Takaki.
Their opposite personality is the reason why Daiki had loved his stupid best friend; Takaki Yuya.

“Dai-chan, do you have any plans? Today is Valentine’s Day you know” Takaki asked as he plopped down on his seat beside Daiki. Daiki put a bookmark on the book he is reading and turn his attention fully on his childhood best friend.
“I do not have anyone to spend it with me so I rather read my books alone or spend some time in the library. That is my usual routine every year after
all. Why you ask?”
“Nothing, I am just wondering if you can help me carry the billions of chocolates I will receive later.” Takaki said as he shrugged. Daiki is about to say something back but their teacher entered the classroom.
“Bakaki, aren’t you going to confess today?” Yabu ask his friend as he spoon-feeds his pretty boyfriend.
“He’s so innocent Yabu. I had sent him some hints but….he can’t just grasp it.” Takaki answered as a sigh escape his sexy thin lips.
“I kinda understand him Takaki. I mean, he don’t have any relationships since birth yo! Are you telling me that he is a bastard even though he doesn’t have some experience? Give the latter some time.” Inoo barked back as he snuggles on Kota’s chest.
“I guess-“Takaki’s words had been interrupted by his ringing phone. He excuses himself and walk outside the music room. He immediately picks the
call up.
“Takaki Yuya here.”
“Hey, can you pick me up in the library? It is raining and I don’t have my umbrella with me.” Daiki said.
Now that Takaki has realized it, it is really raining hard outside.
“Sure, I’ll be there in a few.” Takaki said as he hung up, immediately gets his bag in the music room and bid his goodbye to the couple.
As he entered the library, some girls started to surround him, shoving chocolates on him. He is about to complain on the school’s librarian but apparently, the lady is struggling to give him a chocolate.
“SHUT UP PEOPLE! At least respect this place!” Daiki hissed. After the yell, all eyes immediately fell upon him and the noise quickly rest down. All girls started to move away from Takaki with a sorry look. They know that Daiki really treasured the school’s library. It is his sanctuary.
“Thank you for saving me back there Dai-chan. I owe you one.” Takaki said with a sigh of relief. Daiki just gave him a warm smile before leading his friend on the exit. As he was about to push the door, a girl called his name.
“Arioka-kun!”
He immediately turned to the source of the girl’s voice. At his back, he saw a fidgeting girl.
“An-anou…”
“Is there anything you need Miss?” Daiki asked politely as he approached the girl. Takaki, who is watching the scene, can’t help but to be nervous.
This girl is definitely confessing her feelings for Daiki! Is what he shouted in his mind.
The girl took out a cute wrapped box from his bag and hesitantly gave it to Daiki with a bow.
“Please go out with me Arioka-kun!” The girl confessed his feelings.
Daiki’s eyes widen and got frozen on his spot. He wanted to reject the girl but a part of him doesn’t want to hurt this innocent heart. But if he accepted the girl-whom he doesn’t even know--, he will witness it. And they will remain to be best friends forever and he didn’t want that.

“Hey, do you really think I was horrible for rejecting that girl?” Daiki asks as he and Takaki walked together. They are currently on their way to Takaki’s house. Luckily, the rain had stopped so they can savour their walk while chatting
“Even she said that thing to you doesn’t mean that you are the most horrible creature in the world. You can’t accept her because you barely know her. Erase the fact that you are not interested.” Takaki reasoned out as he focused himself on his phone.
“But it makes me feel so guilty. She shed a tear because of me.” Daiki worriedly stated.
Takaki sighed before putting his phone on his jacket’s pocket and look at his penguin friend. “If you feel bad about rejecting that girl, you should’ve accepted her in the first place Dai-chan.”
“But I don’t even know her! How can you say that Yuya!?
” Daiki stated while pouting.
“That is the point there Dai-chan. Why are you regretting your decision? The fact that you don’t know her is the reason why you rejected her. And I
am sure that she will understand it sooner. She just said that you are horrible because her feelings had overtaken her.” Takaki explained.
“You’re right. I bet there is someone who is much better for her.” Daiki said as he nodded his head with a smile.
A moment of silence engulfs them as they continue to walk. Daiki is happily walking while Takaki is set off to his own world. His thoughts are competing whether he will confess or not.
But if I won’t confess today, who knows maybe he will have a boyfriend or girlfriend tomorrow.
But what if he doesn’t like me back and eventually rejects me? I don’t want things to be awkward between us!
Ahhh mou. If you are in love, you should take the consequences.

“Daiki?” Takaki called as he stops walking. Daiki turned to his side and noticed that Takaki had stopped walking. He walks toward the guy with a
questioning face.
“Is there a problem Yuya?” Daiki ask.
“Do you have any plans on having a boyfriend?” Takaki ask with his deep, husky voice. Daiki is shocked and his cheeks immediately turned into ten
shades of crimson red.
“What’s wit-with the sudden q-question?” Daiki asked back, a little bit stuttering.
Takaki didn’t answer and hugged the shorter guy. Daiki feels a little bit surprised and his brain starts to absorb the situation. His crush-Takaki Yuya-is currently hugging for Mr. Pocky’s Sake!!

Tears started to pour out of Daiki’s eyes. Takaki noticed that his uniform is a little bit damped so he released Daiki; only to find that those beautiful eyes are releasing some tears.
“Daiki, why are you crying? Oh my god, I am so sorry!!” Takaki chanted as he wipes Daiki’s cheeks. Daiki held Takaki’s hand and held very tight. He tiptoes and captured the elder guy’s lips. Takaki’s eyes widen in surprise.
Daiki pulled away from the kiss and hug Takaki very tight. Takaki grinned as he hugs Daiki back.
“Can I get the most precious gift now?” Takaki asked.
“I’m sorry. I don’t have any chocolates now.” Daiki apologized as he looked at Takaki’s gentle eyes.
“Not the chocolates.” Takaki whined.
“Then what do you want?” Daiki asked curiously.
“Your love…”
