Oh Future, why must you be so confusing?

Nov 28, 2010 20:18

Remember when you were in elementary school or middle school and the teachers would always ask, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Remember when you would answer with a confident: "Doctor!" or "Lawyer!" Your parents would be so proud that you chose a career that would open many doors in your life.  The hours, the challenge, the pay. Oh man ( Read more... )

UGH LJ ATE MY COMMENT! I don't even feel like typing all of that back out. Basically, XD, I was telling you that you should do what feels right. I've changed my careers twice against my parents wishes but I'm pretty happy about what I have now, in the end your own happiness is worth a lot more than living comfortably because you get a good paycheck.

---Now to the Arashi Segment of this Entry---
FREETER~!!!! My love for this drama has no bounds~! Seiji <3, like yeah when he talks back to his mom I mostly want to punch him in the face but at the same time it's understandable, he's trying to pick his life back up but has an asshole for a father who won't help with shit and his mom is overly dependent on him atm, so I can see why he would get frustrated and snap ( ... )

Yes, I really want a job I love. It would be AMAZING if I could have one. I remember you telling me about you changing job choices despite your parents. I think I can do what I love and hopefully everything will work out.

---Now let me reply to your Arashi rant---
YES! Seiji is love! I love him so much XD I mean, at least HE'S changing! His dad isn't doing ANYTHING for the family. Even Seiji's sister is noticing how absent he is from the family!

lol. They literally do look like siblings though! XD They could have the same dad lol And when Sho was about to kiss Ueshima-san, I think I saw Ohno trying to laugh really hard but he started to hide behind Nino in such a cute way XDXD

I CANT WAIT FOR AIBA'S NEW DRAMA! *turns cap lock off* He looks a lot like the manga character! What's the manga called? Imma look for it, lol

WTF LJ SERIOUSLY THIS IS BS it just ate my comment again.

and yes everything will work out ^.^V
-Continuing-
Sorry it took so long my dad was making my fill out an application for him because I have the only comp in the house and he can't do it himself -_-'

YES SEIJI~!!!! I love him so much too XD, and really I hope him and Chiba-chan get together seriously. LIKE NO LIE SERIOUSLY.

and yes y'know his parents divorced when he was young, and he's not close to that side of the family at all so who knows maybe Naka was his dad's last name but when his parents divorced they changed his name to Ninomiya XD (Is making things overly complicated XD)

and the manga is called Bartender XD

BAsically, if I was in your age n with dreamy dream of what I wanna do in the future, I would advise you to do what you wanna do, pick ur carrerr as what you like to do with ur hobby aka obsession.
However, I've been there and while I'd have the guts to say I like my living n my way as of now. Nothing to regret. I can say, if I had known much, had much more advise, more thinking not only for my convenience, my comfortable zone, my fun, but also my future index plan, my burden as I become one of society member. I would say to you, pick the one with the most financial stability for your future. Do you the only child in your family? I'm not. So there's lots to think further.
HOWEVER, I say to you, I have nothing to regret, still am satisfied with my current state.
Hmm......hope my writing don't make you confuse nor it confused to read n understand the point of my point XDDDDD.

I sware, every time I read your posts, I find more things in common with us!! I want to be a singer/actress type of things, like ARashi. It's been my dream my whole life. But now I have to think seriously about my future and what college I want to go to according to my mother. I'm enrolling into private high schools now. THe thing about what I want to be is that if you don't make it, you're screwed. So I have been thinking about being an international lawyer, basically here and Japan. I've taught myself to be almost fluent in Japanese and I've been researching colleges in Japan that have English courses. (I'm thinking Waseda). So I kinda know what you're going through, even though I just turned 14 xD

So I'm not older, but to give some advice...I thiink you should do what you really want to. My dad has a job with good pay, but he doesn't enjoy it and it stresses him out. I think your happiness plays a huge factor in whether you can live comfortably or not. It's your life and no one elses. GOOD LUCK! GAMBATTE NE!~

Whoa, you're younger than me?! I didn't even know XD You're more fluent in Japanese than I am! lol

And doing what I love will really be amazing. I was thinking of becoming an international lawyer too, but I didn't know how XD And now I don't want to be a lawyer anymore so that doesn't work XD

I didn't realise you were only 15! When I was 15 I had no idea what I wanted to do. Had I known about Arashi then I probably would have taken some Japanese related path. I think 15 may still be too young to know what you want to do. You don't have to know what you want to be yet. You're still growing and changing. While the future is scary and you're worried, there's still so much time ahead of you to decide jobs and careers. I think really you should do want you want to do. There's no particular rush to do anything. If you change your mind later there are other ways to get want you want.

Hope that was helpful!

I've been told many times that I'm really too young to be stressing over what I want to be in the future, lol. But both my sisters already know what they want to be and they're only 5 years older than me at most. My closer sister is in the same grade as me and she already knows what she wants to be. I just feel like an outcast since I'm the only one that doesn't know what I want to be, I guess
