for the obvious reasons, "life after death" fascinates me and scares me immensely at the same time. not that bullshit heaven and hell/spiritual crap. i want to know what it feels like when my body is under 6 feet of dirt in a box that cost my children several thousand dollars. i honestly think that is where everything ends. that after death, my ( Read more... )

you say man-made religion like there is some sort of other type of religion. but before, you say you don't want any of that spiritual "bullshit". So our ideals that we made as a means to an end would be legitimate because there is something to look forward to. and eternity yet could be something good in this situation because ugh, i'll finish this off later.

all religion as in every single religion that exists on our earth, is man-made. what i'm contemplating is what if there really is NOTHING beyond us dying. no heaven, hell, etc. our ideals we created as a mean to an end could be legitamite but they also very well could be the same as our religions...created by humans and most likely non-existant. i'm not doubting that eternity could be good, etc...what i'm doubting is if it even exists. if eternity was such a big deal, why would we need to die?

it's good to think all these things through. it is hard to truly fathom if there is or isnt anything beyond this world after death. I am sure the only thing to find out is. . to live until death and then see what happens. . .or nothing will happen and there will be silence forever more. I have thought these things over and I can't understand what really is or isn't going to happen. so I just continue to have faith and hope and if that keeps me smiling and enabling me to enjoy how I live my life, to be able to believe in something. . .and if it means nothing once my life is over, I don't really mind. but that's me.

i think that would be suck a fucking letdown. especially for the people who are such devout christians and go throughout life having "faith" that they will go to heaven, be with god, etc, etc, etc. i'd be a lot less dissapointed if i live in accordance to myself...not a religion and find out that heaven and hell in fact do exist, etc. instead of going against everything i have lived for the past 22 years and actually having faith in god and it's religion; only to die and realize that it's all bullshit.
