I miss her bear-hugs the most...

When we left the theater to once again board the buses, the head counsellors seemed in an unusually bad mood. I was not the only one that suspected something, for as we travelled up the muddy, windy roads back to camp, the buses were abuzz with the CITs’(counsellor in training) gossip. By the time we arrived back at the campus, the CITs’ all felt ( Read more... )

It will never truly leave us, will it? We'll always recall that moment when we were told. Or the moment we had to tell someone else. And everything surrounding it will never leave us. And I think some of us will never really believe it's true, either.

I know exactly how you feel. Yom Kippur was hellish, and I have pictures of her and us in my locker. I feel like shes watching over us. There are sometimes when I can feel her in the room, and its unbearably sad and incredibly beautiful.

Sometimes a day goes by
One whole entire day
When I don't think of her.

Twenty-four hours pass,
I look around and find
That I haven't thought of her.

Not even when I'm somewhere we used to go.
Not even when there's someone we used to know.

It isn't every day.
It's most unusual. In fact,
I don't remember when, but
Sometimes a day goes by
When I don't think of her til morning comes
And then
There she is again.

You saved me. If I had found out sitting alone with my campers in the theater... oh god.... And then you were there for me. I've said it once and I'll say it again, you were my angel and thank you for being there.

Your writing is beautiful, Jesse.
I am so sorry, it's a story I never knew, and in a way a side of you I'd never really seen before.

I miss you.
E-mail me sometime. I think we have a lot of talking to do. I miss out late night conversations.
