this is an old article from 2003 and I haven't finished it, nor do I know if the program is still around, but it sure made me uncomfortable reading it in the first place.
I heard about this, I thought it was decided by the U.S. surpreme court that it was a violation of the public right to privacy. They didn't need a giangitc database of peoples flaws. if something was to come up they can get the information anyway.
...and it's only going to get worse. These type of laws and agencies may get pushed back or cancelled for awhile, but they will come back, and eventually they won't go away.
The Constitution will become a pretty document to look at in a museum, but in no way applicable to real, everyday life. 8(
