It makes me so sad to see how many kids out there are affected by autism. The fact it seems to be so prevalent makes me wonder just what is causing it...is it something in the water? The air? The food kids are eating? It's right up there with ADHD as something that has become more like an epidemic, case wise. I am also glad to see so many speak up for kids with it now - I see the little magnet puzzle pieces on cars all the time out here

ya know, in the stuff I've come across in the last few days, I think all these recent diseases are caused by multi-generation dna damage. back when we didn't know that some things were so bad and it damaged us at the cellular level. Which is passed on with each generation. But with survival of the fittest restricted to the wild, we find ways to "fix" waht we broke (albeit unknowingly at first) and we all just keep going. I think autism has more than one cause and therefore, at least as many 'cures' and treatments. I just hope it doesn't have to become like cancer where the treatment is somewhat worse than the disease.
anyway, thanks for responding. glad they figured out that yours was just an allergy and nothing more.
That is a really valid point - it wouldn't surprise me. They know that a mother's usage of some "remedies" back in the day often causes miscarriages or birth defects, so what's to say there wasn't more they never knew about? Scary thought. @_@
