I don't know any venues but sometimes if you have your wedding/reception on off days the price is lower.

That's what I told her, but she is set on having the wedding on March 15, which is a Saturday... All the places I looked into were like 1/2 the price if you wanted them during the week.

She could always try a local or state park. Generally they're pretty cheap (if not free). She also might want to check out college chapels. They're generally pretty inexpensive. Depending upon what type of wedding she's interested in, she might could have it at our farm. We're having several weddings out here this spring/summer.
