Hello, hello! Rocky Rudolph is reporting he´s back.
And so is another year of JRock Kurisumasu, an annual JRock secret santa fic exchange. The community is continuing the tradition started in 2009 over at jrock_christmas. Head over there to see the fics and to find inspiration for your sign-up. Or just feel free to browse this community for the same purpose; last year was full of awesome fictional presents from our participants.
The exchange timeline for the year 2011:
Sign-ups: September 1 - September 25
Assignments: By September 30
FICS DUE - December 5 midnight GMT
Posting: December 12 (subject to change based on number of participants)
Reveals: January 1, 2011

Request:
+ You can request anything but OCs, underage porn, and artwork.
One thing to be aware of: a lot of us are fans of indie bands. As much as DaizyStripper, D=out, or Aicle (Aikuru) rock (no pun intended), getting someone who knows about them as well, or has the time to research them is expecting a little much. With so many different bands, this is going to be difficult to pair up, so if you absolutely want an indie band fic, either coax a friend to come along, or include a few requests with better known bands (alice.nine, the GazettE, Dir en Grey, Miyavi, Gackt, etc.) And on our part, we'll try our hardest to get you paired with someone who loves your indie bands too.
Fic you will write
+ Follow you recipient’s request to the best of your ability
+ Fic should be at least 1500 words in length
+ Use proper grammar, spelling, and clarity in both your fic and your request. Do NOT tYpE lIkE DiS
+ Fic should be beta-read before submitting
+ Fic should have all necessary HTML-tags and the proper header sent to you in the assignment email (Rudolph will send the fic back if it doesn't have these!)
+ Once completed, please send the fic to jrock.kurisumasu@gmail.com
If you don't know HTML or have a normal beta reader, first ask your friends-list. We might be able to help you if you really need (and cannot find) a beta, but ask your friends first.
Anyone is welcome to participate. Regardless of experience though, everyone needs to have their fic beta-read.
Please do not forget the following:
+ This exchange is anonymous. Do not contact your recipient or reveal your identity before reveals are up. Also refrain from sharing your fic elsewhere before the reveals. If you have a question for your recipient while writing, you can email it to jrock.kurisumasu@gmail.com and Rudolph will ask for you and send the answer back to you.
+ Deadlines are to be met! If your fic is not turned in on time (December 5 2010 GMT) and you do not contact us, it will be sent to a pinch hitter. Extensions will be granted strictly.
+ If you need the extension or a beta reader, please contact Rudolph at jrock.kurisumasu@gmail.com as soon as possible.
It might be a good idea to to watch the community for possible updates. In return, Rudolph promises not to spam.
